The Mobile Bay NEP is not just for a few people in an office or one single organization or agency. We exist as a collaboration of all stakeholders - this means you too!! Our mission is to promote and maintain wise stewardship of Mobile Bay and the Delta. As stewards of this natural resource, we are the keepers, the care takers so to speak. All citizens in our community have a stake in the National Estuary process and protecting the bay's contribution to our quality of life.

The more informed we are about the issues that affect the bay's health and future, the better equipped we are to make the right management decisions about the long-term protection strategies. But the only way to really make this work is to have a long-term commitment from every community member to help. The process starts with being informed. Then as the process progresses you become involved. Public education and public support are critical to the success of the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program.

As we approach the implementation phase of the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) the stakeholders, which is everyone, will be charged with making sure we stay on task and committed to our COMMUNITY plan. We are all part of the solution. Without the help of all of the Mobile/Baldwin County citizens our goal of a healthy, productive Mobile Bay will be more difficult to reach.

We need your help. Remember, YOU are the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program. To find out how to become involved call the Mobile Bay NEP office at (334)431-6409 or email us.
