Restoration Project Manager

Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, dedicated to promoting the wise stewardship of Alabama’s Estuaries and coast, is seeking a highly skilled Restoration Project Manager. The Restoration Project Manager has the primary responsibility of providing project management including, but not limited to, invasive species management, construction oversight assistance, coordination of field visits and monitoring of projects identified in watershed management plans.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in resource management and/or coordinating restoration projects
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a wide range of individuals and groups
  • Grant writing
  • State and federal permitting experience
  • Field oversight/supervisory activities
  • Experience in the use of Geographical Information Systems and small unmanned aerial systems is a plus
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, construction specifications, and legal documents
  • Ability to respond effectively to common inquiries or complaints from citizens, government agencies, or landowners
  • Ability to effectively present information at conferences, meetings, and to the public
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as remote meeting applications
