Notice to Contractors: Video Production required for long-form documentary video

Request for Proposals (RFP): Long-Form Documentary Video Production for the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP)

I. Introduction

The Mobile Bay National Estuary Program (MBNEP) is seeking proposals from qualified video production firms (the Firm) to produce a 23-minute video to capture and communicate the impact of MBNEP’s work over the past 30 years. This video will serve as a legacy piece to honor decades of collaborative coastal stewardship and educate a broad audience on the challenges, partnerships, and progress that define our program.

II. Project Background

Established by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 1995, MBNEP is hosted by and serves as a division of the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. Our mission is to lead the wise stewardship of Alabama’s estuaries and coastal resources. Over the last three decades, MBNEP has convened partners across government, academia, industry, and community organizations to plan and implement strategies for protecting and restoring coastal Alabama’s ecosystems through a series of Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plans (CCMPs).

To commemorate this milestone and share the program’s evolution, MBNEP will produce a documentary video suitable for screenings, presentations, and online dissemination. The film’s concept development and scripting will be informed by MBNEP; the selected Firm will be responsible for storyboarding, filming, coordinating interviews and voiceovers, animations, editing, and delivering the final product.
