Marti is the Communications Manager and is responsible for expanding understanding of the MBNEP and telling the story to the community.
She grew up in Mobile and is a graduate of the University of Mobile where she obtained a B.S. in Business Management, and of the University of South Alabama where she received a M.A. in Communication. She has taught communication courses at area colleges and universities including USA, the University of Mobile, and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Communication at USA. She and her husband, Dendy, a longtime chemistry teacher at Foley High School, live in Foley with Lucy the Cat. They love weekend getaways to cities with rivers and exploring new places. Together they have five daughters, two sons-in-law, and a two-year old granddaughter, Sadie.
Marti enjoys hiking, birdwatching, kayaking, reading, podcasts, and nachos without jalapenos.
