Factsheet: Oil on Private Property

MBNEP and Alabama Coastal Section are working with Coastal Bird Conservation in a monitoring effort to determine pre- and post-spill impacts to beach-nesting birds, shorebirds, and their habitats across the Gulf Coast.

A peer listening training session is scheduled for July 23, 2010 in Gulf Shores, AL. This training teaches trusted community leaders how to help friends, neighbors, and co-workers who may be reluctant to seek professional mental health services due to the effects of the oil spill.
