Education and Public Involvement (EPI)

EPI BB

The biennial Bays and Bayous Symposium showcases the latest scientific research of the ecosystems and the estuaries of the Northern Gulf Coast.

Public education and engagement are paramount to building support for environmental conservation and restoration. MBNEP provides education and engagement opportunities by developing and conducting outreach and awareness campaigns, field trips, lectures, videos, and hands-on learning and stewardship experiences. These activities build stewardship and enhance quality of life by experientially connecting people to their watersheds, estuarine and coastal habitats, and the living things that depend upon them. The Business Resources Committee, Community Resources Committee, and the Community Action Committee have made significant progress in advancing these goals.
