Jason Kudulis, Deputy Director

Jason is the Deputy Director at the Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, assisting the Director in ensuring the organization’s goals and mission remain on track and overseeing the management and implementation of restoration projects to enhance community resilience, improve water quality, and promote nature-based solutions. In this role, he collaborates closely with a coalition of thought leaders and experts dedicated to protecting and restoring the natural resources and ecosystems of coastal Alabama.

A native of Mobile, Jason developed an early appreciation for the region’s natural beauty and ecological diversity, fostering a lifelong passion for environmental stewardship. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Alabama and a Master of Science from the University of Alabama.

Jason’s career spans public service roles with the National Park Service, where he worked in some of the nation’s most iconic landscapes, as well as positions with the states of Alabama and Utah, and in the nonprofit sector.

Jason and his wife, Lindsay, live on a farm where they grow satsumas and sunflowers while working to enhance wildlife habitats.
